Japan Pilgrimage II Day 12 - Guest Blogged by 浪迹天涯小狗

Image Intensity Warning..

Relaxing in progress....

The animals decided to venture Yokohama today~

OK, there IS a JUMP SHOP there...

The moss on the neighbour's fence.
Mistress was waiting for RR to wear her boots.

We located a Lawson in Ikebukuro on the map the previous night. FINALLY! Lawsons are pretty hard to find in Tokyo thou they come in abundance in Kyoto.

It's pretty near where we stay actually, just that its in one of the slip roads and that we normally walk the underground passage so we din notice it.

Had to make a trip for its machine which sells the admission tix for Ghilbi Museum.

A Chinese restaurant with decor that has a bit of Mexican flavor.

The slip road to Lawson.

Dedicated cycling path for folks who cycle.

Took a while for us to decipher the crypted Japanese and trying to get a slot that's not sold out. Had to engage one of the staff (who was thankfully a Chinese), to help us out.

Back on our main journey, hustle-bustling with the Tokyorites.

I do believe Japan definitely has their fair share of train track accidents from all the incident notifications that flashes on the information screens in the trains.

The rather unique but dangerous waiting platforms of Yokohama Station

Very very large empty space, sort of like the empty space over at Esplanade basement branching from CityLink.

Yokohama~

Once we exited the underground station plus tunnels, passageway, etc, we were overwhelmed by the surroundings.

Although office buildings line up neatly along the main street, one does not get a compressing feeling like in Raffles Place. Space is in abundance and with the blue skies, it jus looks so beautiful out here.

One building with the skies, not stacks upon stacks of buildings with no skies.

Very spacious.

That's Mistress's automobile outlet.

Of cos NOT!

Wandered about for a while before finally deciding on this restaurant in Landmark Tower, which is actually the tallest building in Japan.

It's a bit pricey but definitely worth the money.

The animals ordered their lunch special, Sashimi Donburi (it came in some other fanciful name which Mistress cant rem).
It was fantastic! And the 2 pieces of dunno-what-but-tastes-yummy-sushi were "service"!
Sort of market testing for their new product I guess.

Pokemon Center that's opposite Jump Shop

The humongous art piece that wasn't easy to squeeze into the camera frame.

Absolutely terrific weather!

Landmark Tower. It made Mistress dizzy staring up from this angle and with the clouds moving at ultra fast speed, she thought there's something wrong with her or something. RR felt the same way as well.

A runic outdoor basement.

Sail Training Ship Nippon Maru

Cosmo Clock 21, which is the world's largest clock and the Port Tower of Yokohama Port Museum, which overlooks Minato Mirai 21, in Nippon Maru Memorial Park.

Yokohama Cosmo World

Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel & Cosmo Clock 21

The rapidly moving clouds even thou the wind isnt very strong.

A carousel within Cosmo World.

Spotted this umbrella cleaning/drying device in one of the malls.

Despicable Me! 3D version screening in Japan at the moment.

Headed over to Yamashita Park using the Akai Kutsu Bus. Tix at 100 yen per trip.

Akai Kutsu Bus.

Some of the buildings around this area brings about the European feel, like this one.

A very huge Lawsons complete with indoor playground for parents to dump their kids at Yamashita Park

The very very blue skies and huge horizon of deep blue waters.

Getting all touristy..

Very very nice place~

"Little Girl with Red Shoes"
Like where's the red shoes?? It doesnt look very red after the years..

Guardian of Water fountain

Spotted these 2 obasans sun-tanning the undies of their dog. Literally!

Hikawa Maru, the museum ship docked at Yokohama that's witnessed World War II!

Yamashita Park. Absolutely refreshing for the soul.
Had a short sit-down break near Lawsons to relax a bit and take in the views.

RR is either offering me or Mistress the snack.
Mistress took it away....

Nothing was done to the photo. It was THAT beautiful!
The gradient of the skies and the waters.. (゚0゚)

Another of those you-can-cross-anyway-anyhow-crossings

Spacey exhibits to attract aliens or for performing rituals in front of the Yokohama Archivals.

Made our way over to Shinjuku for authentic Kinokuniya visiting and a bit more Burberry's searching..

Times Square, Japan.
Same architectural feel as the one in KL!

The city view at night is lovely!
Mistress took this from the ladies of Time Square!

The common city jams and the night life.

Wooo... 鼎泰豐 has its food in Japan!

We had to make our way thru some deserted-looking corridors and..

.. space-shuttle-bridge-looking passages to reach Kinokuniya.

They have Diana Minis! That's after searching for soooo mannyy days! Holgas are more common..

Its simply too jacked-up and there's only a few more days before the animals return to homeland anyway.

Mistress got a couple of Nakama Yukie pictorials as its too expensive to ship them over online, but she is still unable to find those Trick themed books!~!

More lights of Ikebukuro

Settled for dinner at this family restaurant type place just around the corner from our hostel.

RR's niku nabe set.

Mistress's saba set. They provided choices of rice for your sets.
Mistress tried the healthier multi-grain brown rice.

Nice food, just having problems with the boney saba as usual.

Back to base..
